Refund Policy

Adult and Youth Programs

Participants in Bismarck Parks and Recreation District adult and youth programs will receive a full refund when the program is canceled or has not officially begun. Contact partner organizations directly for assistance with programs held on park district property but not run by BPRD.

Birthday Parties

Cancellation requests for birthday parties at BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center, Capital Racquet & Fitness Center, Capital Ice Complex, VFW Sports Center, Hillside Aquatic Complex, and Elks Aquatic Center must be made at least 48 hours in advance of the party date to be considered for a refund. There is a $5 fee for all cancellations.

Campsites

General Sibley Park & Campground

Eagles Park

  • Reservations are nontransferable.
  • A cancellation fee of $5 per night per campsite reserved will be assessed when a reservation is canceled in its entirety.
  • When an entire campground reservation is canceled, the cancellation fee is $30 for one night, $50 for two nights, or $60 for three nights.
  • Cancellation requests must be made a minimum of 2 days (48 hours) prior to the camper’s arrival date and time (2:00pm Central time) in order to be considered for a refund of campsite fee(s) minus cancellations fee(s).
  • All cancellations and refund requests must be made by calling 701-222-6455.

Ice Complex Reservations

  • Ice time: Cancellation is required at least 21 days before the rental date for a full refund. If cancellation notice is provided 7-20 days before the rental date, a refund is provided less a $30 per hour cancellation fee.
  • Dry floor time: Cancellation is required at least 21 days before the rental date for a full refund. If cancellation notice is provided 7-20 days before the rental date, a refund is provided less a $10 per hour cancellation fee.
  • Arena meeting rooms: Cancellation is required at least 48 hours before the rental date for a refund. There is a $10 fee for all cancellations.

Shelter & Community Building Reservations

  • Outdoor park shelter reservation cancellation requests must be made at least 7 days prior to the reservation date to be considered for a refund. There is a $5 fee for all cancellations.
  • Community building (indoor shelter) reservation cancellation requests must be made at least 28 days prior to the reservation date to be considered for a refund. There is a $10 fee for all cancellations.

Refund Details

  • All refunds will be issued in the form of a check or credit, if applicable.
  • The issuance of a refund check will take 10-12 working days and will be mailed to the participant/renter.

Rain Check Policy for Golf Courses and Outdoor Swimming Pools

Rain checks will be given to those individuals unable to complete their 18 or 9 holes of golf or to continue swimming at outdoor pools due to weather. No refunds are given for season pool passes or swimming lessons. Rain checks must be used within the current season.
