Volleyball – Grade 5

Youth Coed Volleyball Grade 5 – Winter

Youth volleyball is a recreational program designed to teach basic skills, sportsmanship, and techniques. The program’s purpose is for participants to have fun, get exercise, and develop skills. Children of all abilities are encouraged to participate. Emphasis is placed on equal participation and skill development. Win-loss records are not kept.

Program Dates

  • January 26-March 21, 2026

Locations and Schedules

  • One-hour practices are held twice per week Mondays through Fridays at schools. Some schools practice after 5:00pm due to after-school programming in gyms.
  • Games are held Saturday mornings and early afternoons at schools.

Need to Know

  • Teams will be formed after the first week of practice, and a schedule will be provided for the remainder of the season. Every attempt will be made to split the teams as equally as possible when more than one team exists per grade at any school. If there are not enough 5th graders at one school to make a team, schools may be combined at the discretion of BPRD.
  • Only small, secured stud earrings are allowed (no dangling earrings, necklaces, or bracelets). Exceptions are medical bracelets or medical necklaces taped to the chest inside of shirts.
  • Wear shorts or sweats, tennis shoes, and knee pads to practices and games.

Registration and Fees

  • $85 per player – if received on or before January 9
  • $95 per player – if received January 10 or later
  • Participants must register for the elementary school they attend (Bismarck Public Schools, Martin Luther, and Shiloh). Light of Christ students must register directly through their LOC school.
