Bismarck Parks and Recreation District offers fitness classes led by certified personal trainers year-round at our fitness facilities and occasionally at other facilities:
Fitness facility members enjoy free group drop-in classes and discounts on most advance registration classes.
This class is the “sweet spot” of keeping the fitness experience large enough to be a fun interactive experience while small enough to maintain focus on quality. A nationally certified personal trainer will take you through a variety of workouts while assessing proper form. We focus on functional strength and getting stronger while learning proper movement patterns.

Enjoy weekly group workouts plus individual guidance from a personal trainer, including pre/post individual assessment, nutritional assistance, exercise plan, and communication via a fitness app. Follow the plan for 30 days and see what happens to your body!

Increase your weight room knowledge and jump start your confidence! A certified personal trainer will guide you through each cardio and weight machine to learn what each one does and what muscle group you’ll strengthen. You’ll get a personalized exercise log card to keep notes and record your future workouts to keep track of machines, weights, and your progress. You’ll leave knowing how to have a safe and effective workout.
